They also don't have an option to reject the auto pay when initially buying their antivirus software. The response for BitDefender says that it has an auto resubscribe for security and that it is a common thing in the industry, but what I find predatory about this is that they never mentioned that they had an auto pay subscription when I first bought their product. I would have purchased their product again, but their predatory practices made me not want their antivirus software no matter how good it is. I became even more frustrated when I had to look up how to cancel the auto renewal (they couldn't make it simple) and then through several links in order to get to the page to cancel it. So when I looked harder at the purchase I found out that they put an auto renewal on my ( what I believed to be a one time purchase) product. I was surprised to see a $60 ($59.99) purchase on my paypal account and thought someone was scamming me. This is due to the fact that when I first purchased their anti virus software there was no mention of auto renewal for bitdefender. But after this subscription year is over I'm not using them again. It hasn't bogged down my computer or interfered with any of my usual running programs. I have used their product for a year now and I was satisfied with how it worked.
